Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Snaptory ("we", "us", "our") is an online platform that lets event hosts collect photos from guests via a QR code or shareable link. By creating an account or using Snaptory you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to register.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • You may not share your account or use another person's account without permission.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at support@snaptory.co if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, sexually explicit, or infringes third-party rights.
  • Upload photos of individuals without their knowledge or consent.
  • Use the platform for commercial spam, phishing, or any deceptive purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt Snaptory's infrastructure.
  • Circumvent access controls or paid-tier restrictions.

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules without notice.

4. Content & ownership

You own your photos. Uploading a photo to Snaptory does not transfer copyright. You retain full ownership of all content you upload.

By uploading content you grant Snaptory a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and deliver that content solely for the purpose of operating the platform on your behalf. We will never sell, licence, or use your photos for marketing without your explicit consent.

Guest uploaders grant the same limited licence to the event host (the account holder who created the event).

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload photos that include other people. Snaptory cannot vet individual photos and accepts no liability for third-party rights claims arising from content you upload.

5. Payments & plans

  • Paid plans and add-ons are processed via Stripe. Snaptory does not store card details.
  • All prices are shown inclusive of any applicable VAT.
  • Plans are per-event and non-recurring — you are not enrolled in a subscription.
  • Refunds: We offer a full refund within 14 days of purchase if the event has not yet taken place and you have not downloaded any content. After 14 days, or after the event date, refunds are at our discretion. Contact support@snaptory.co to request a refund.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing. Existing paid plans are not affected by price changes.

6. Data & storage

  • Photos are stored on Hetzner Object Storage (Helsinki, EU). Data does not leave the EU.
  • Free-tier events are automatically deleted 7 days after the event date. Paid events are retained for the duration of your plan (30–180 days depending on tier).
  • You can delete your event and all its photos at any time from your dashboard.
  • We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.

7. Limitation of liability

Snaptory is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
  • We are not liable for data loss caused by user action, third-party outages, or force majeure events.
  • Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from account settings. On deletion, your events and uploaded photos will be permanently removed within 30 days.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the breach.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of Snaptory after that date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
